San Diego Conference Aims to Sharpen the Skills of Recruiters by @HRTMExec

The ERE Recruiting Conference, organized by ERE Recruiting Intelligence and ERE Media, will take place April 27-29 in San Diego, California.

Targeted to professionals in talent acquisition and leaders in recruiting, this three-day event will teach team management, budgetary control, and strategy development.

Featured conference speakers include Ron Mester, CEO of ERE Media, who will speak on the current state of talent acquisition; former NCAA lacrosse coach John Brubaker, who will talk about sowing seeds of success; University of San Diego employment and labor law professor Orly Lobel, who will discuss how to win the war for talent; and consultant and author Mike Pierce, who will tell powerful stories regarding “Why Should I Join Your Team?”

Numerous other speakers are scheduled to present throughout the conference schedule. Speaker and panel topics include corporate talent acquisition; hiring, training, and managing recruiters; talent acquisition technology; strategic recruiting; employee referrals; building a talent acquisition operations team; innovative talent acquisition; the future of talent acquisition; and more.

Frequent networking breaks, including lunch roundtables and a charity poker/game night, will be offered throughout the gathering.

New to this year’s event are TAD (Talent Acquisition Development) Talks—short and focused presentations from Shawna Ford, loanDepot’s director of talent acquisition; Susan Collins, talent acquisition leader for Talbot’s; Molly Weaver, Children’s Mercy Hospital talent acquisition leader; and Jennifer Terry-Tharp, director of strategic staffing initiatives at AT&T.

The conference will be held at the San Diego Convention Center, located in the Marina district of downtown San Diego at 111 W. Harbor Drive. The conference hotel is the Hotel Salomar, at 435 6th Avenue in San Diego. Conference attendees will also receive discounted room rates at the nearby Marriott Marquis San Diego.
